The non-credit accelerated courses are problem-based training modules designed for trainees to attained standardized protocols and procedures in developing a science-based working knowledge and understanding of the “do’s and don’ts” of sustainable aquaponics food production.
The novice and intermediate introductory module courses are based on industry-recognized standards and methods in commercial aquaponics transferable to backyard systems. The course includes attaining competencies in industry standard operating procedures (SOPs) in fish, plants health maintenance, water quality surveillance, systems metrics, beneficial microbial processes, data collection and documentation, FDA food safety practices, biosecurity guidelines which are all indispensible for daily operations and maintenance of soilless food production — large or small.
