Engineering Technology
The Engineering Technology program, leading to a baccalaureate degree, provides curriculum and training in electronics, computers, optics, remote sensing, and other technologies.
The mission of the program is to prepare graduates to be productive professionals who can make meaningful contributions to industry on Maui, throughout the state of Hawai’i, and worldwide.
The Engineering Technology BAS program was developed and is co-taught through a collaboration with the University of Hawaii – Institute for Astronomy Maui Division and the Akamai Workforce Initiative receives funding in part from the National Science Foundation (#AST- 0836053).
The curriculum emphasizes engineering technology and stresses the effective use of integrated electro-optical hardware and software systems. The program also includes strong inter disciplinary general education with courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication,Mathematics, and English.
