Q: DO I NEED TO PAY FOR MY CLASSES IF I AM RECEIVING FINANCIAL AID?
A: If you have been awarded financial aid (by the tuition deadline) and have not declined all financial aid given to you, your classes will be held and you do not have to pay by the deadline. Be aware that you have to be awarded financial aid and are able to see the award on your UH portal, filling out the FAFSA is not enough to hold your classes.
Other important notes:
1- If you are not awarded financial aid you and are registered for classes you will need to pay for your classes or start a tuition payment plan through your UH portal. If not, your classes may be dropped. It is your responsibility to check on the status of your classes after the tuition deadline.
2- If you will still owe tuition after your financial aid has applied towards your tuition and fees, it is suggested that you wait until your financial aid has paid first and then pay the remaining balance on your account. You cannot make a partial payment.
