Hi! My name is Kawehi Kina and I’m from Waiheʻe. I graduated as a 4-year boarder at  Lāhaināluna High School in 2011 and I graduated from UH Maui College with my A.A. in Liberal Arts and A.A. in Hawaiian Studies in May 2014. Since I graduated from UH Maui, I transferred to UH West O’ahu’s Distance Learning Program majoring in Social Science-Applied Track. After I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree, I want to become an Academic/Personal Support Counselor for Native Hawaiian college students.

I am currently a student for the Muʻo Aʻe program, the Kuʻina program, and Pai Ka Mana SSS. These programs are student support services that helps students succeed in college. I don’t want to get into too much detail about these programs so I’ll put links out so that you can check them out. Don’t feel confined to just one program, but go out and explore all the resources available to you! The more the merrier!!

On my free time, I like to sleep and watch Family Feud (the one with Steve Harvey cause he makes it so much funnier), but on the days when I feel energetic, I like to do photography, swim in fresh water (salt water makes me sticky), hiking, or just admiring beautiful Maui… cuz you know, Maui nō ka ‘oi!

Here are some words of advice that I live by everyday:

“Just go with the flow…”

“Just think positive.”

“Just do it!”

I can tutor:
