History & Culture of Hawai'i

This course is designed for people who share knowledge of Hawai'i with visitors, and is especially useful for tour guides. Learn fascinating facts about Hawai'i's unique history, culture, geology, monarchy, language, place names, plants, animals, and the arrival of the missionaries. Upon successful completion of the course and exam you will receive a certificate recognized statewide, the Hawai'i guide manual, certification card, and pin. Keli'i Taua has a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He is a respected Kumu Hula, musician, composer and Hawaiian Cultural Specialist. He has been involved with Hawaiian youth as an Educator with the Department of Education.
