Medical Insurance Professional Coding: National Certification ProgramThis specialized program provides the most up-todate information relating to CPT and ICD-9 CM procedural and diagnostic coding. Includes medical terminology, anatomy overview, and CPT and ICD-9 CM coding issues organized in a way consistent with the most current American Medical Association's Physician's Current Procedural Terminology. This course prepares you for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) accreditation examination. Note: The AAPC national certification test will be administered by the instructor. Prerequisite: Two years' experience in medical billing or coding, or thorough knowledge of medical terminology. You need to bring 2004 editions of CPT, ICD, HCPCS to class. Kathy Snyder BA, CST, CPC, CPC-H, RCC is currently a PMCC trainer with the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has 30 years of experience in the health care industry. This program is for individuals who have been working in the medical field as in medical coding, medical billing or in a similar position and would like to become certified.
