Get hands-on with high tech. Students enrolled in the Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) program receive an education in basic electronics, computer technology, computer programming, optical systems, and networking that includes knowledge of DC/ AC/Semiconductor circuits, digital electronics, computers, networks, telescopes and lasers.
The ECET program emphasizes the use of Computer-Aided Design software such as SolidWorks, and graphical programming environment for modeling, simulating and analyzing multidomain dynamical systems such as Simulink.
Students graduating with the Associate in Science (AS) degree in ECET may enter the workforce as entry-level electronic/electro-optic technicians, renewable energy technicians, and telecom/network technicians.

In this intermediate course, students will learn to apply communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) based on previous training. The course will focus on observing expressive and receptive skills through the use of hand signage. Students will be introduced to members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community to practice acquired language skills in social settings. This is your chance to step into the world of fashion by learning the basics of sewing. Students will be instructed on how to thread and operate a sewing machine and learn basic sewing skills. We will also touch on the world of fabrics, basic fashion design concepts, measuring the body for fit and how to read a commercial sewing pattern during this three-day class. Students will be asked to supply their own fabrics for our fun sewing projects that will be completed each class. Students should bring their own domestic sewing machine to class, as being familiar with how to operate your machine is critical to successful sewing endeavors.
