“You Forgot to Tell Me” by Elece Maurizio

You forgot to tell me……..

You forgot to tell me you would end up walking out on me

That is what you do when you are scared

Realizing you feel too deeply

You forgot to tell me

As you fall running far away is all you can do

You forgot to tell me

It is not my fault I did nothing wrong

You forgot to tell me

All the things you should have said from the beginning

I would not be here feeling so lonely

You forgot to tell me

At your time of escape I should give up

Walk away being the outcome you are wanting

You forgot to tell me

That you are actually testing

Desiring a women’s ability not to falter

Showing just how much she cares for you

You forgot to tell me

Either to stay or to go

You forgot to tell me either way

You forgot to tell me

This was your plan

At the end

You forgot to tell me

My touch you will yearn for

On all nights alone

You forgot to tell me

I am like all the others

Just a fool

You forgot to tell me

That you never meant to hurt me

As doing so right now

You forgot to tell me

That you’ll keep me a friend on Facebook,

To twist the knife deeper into my heart

Making my soul cry out loud for you

In some fashion or form holding on

You forgot to tell me

That to mask your true heart’s desire

You get lost in things

You deal with having true feelings

By destroying others

You forgot to tell me

A girl you have known since you were a child

Holds your heart still

You forgot to tell me

That in the end you return

As if this time was pleasing

Being apart was merely nothing

You forgot to tell me

You allow fear

The outside world c

To control you

You forgot to tell me

The songs you sang to me

Weren’t telling me you love me

Just a means to toy with my emotions

You forgot to tell me

Sharing and opening up was your way

To saying goodbye to me

Leading up to your disappearing

You forgot to tell me

That taking walks, dining together, watching movie after movie

Were only wonderful things we shared together for me

Should never amounted to anything in reality

You forgot to tell me

This one is going to hurt

I am sorry, so sorry

You forgot to tell me

You’re worth a bump in our relationship

You will make it up to me

You forgot to tell me

This is a one-time thing

I will never go through this again

If I allow you in to my life again

You forgot to tell me

You love me more than I could ever have thought

You would love me the real way you should

Treating me as flesh and blood

You forgot to tell me

Once again, have patience

In the end I’ll be with only you

For deep in my heart I know you’re the best thing

No women had walked into my life, so willingly desiring to truly love me

You forgot to tell me

Yet you prove me wrong for you told me I was not willing to listen to you.

Still I am waiting, yearning for the true you

Anticipating being swept me off my feet

I have foreseen being your dream come true
