“No Where -vz- Now Here” by Jimmy James Thennes

“No Where -vz- Now Here” by Jimmy James Thennes
April 13, 2019 Nā Leo Literary Review

When the question is asked, what is life’s path?

Being at the “Y” as a point in reference, or “why” as in the word to pause and wonder.

As in the perspective of what comes from my mind,

The blended color brown, as being many colors appearing as one?

This state of being that is in my soul, as it would look if just came out of a tornado.

Hoping for the color purple, the color being blue of the emotion,

Mixed with the color red, in feeling angry or hot headed.

Somewhere from the unexpected, yellow got mixed into my head,

Being Father Sun saying, “What is next in life to come?”

Because life seems to be going no where, as it keeps going somewhere.

Breathe deeply in, holding one, two, and breathe out,

Closing my eyes, Ahhh, Mahalo is what it is all about!

As the world keeps spinning, Mother Earth says, “See your dream changing?”

To open my eyes finding it was all in my perception, no more going “No” where.

The colors of the rainbow became clear, to awaken being in the “Now” here.

With my beliefs, attitudes, and behavior presented as coming and flowing together.

Lined up like the stars, looking as figures of universal art.

In awe of the night, in the presence of being.

“Now” here from “No” where,

the time when there’s going to be a lot of nows changing the past for the future.

Stop, just breathe, and enjoy the present!
