Artist’s Statement:

“This is a digital drawing I did of the ‘Akikiki, a critically endangered Hawaiian honeycreeper, also known as the Kaua’i creeper. My sister works with these endangered species of birds which has made me develop a new appreciation for our native species. My piece is titled “I Am Here” as a form of reassurance to the critically endangered bird that we are here, and we are here to help.”
