Cable TV classes are broadcast over MCCs cable channel 55. They can be limited to Maui island only, or sent to MCCs Outreach sites of Molokai, Lanai, and Hana, or to all the Maui County sites and statewide.
The classes are held in Ka`aike 109. The room is equipped with pc and Internet access, an elmo.
Cable classes are not interactive, although they are broadcast
live on Maui. Students need to go to the Distance
Learning Web site to find broadcast times for their cable
classes.
The classes are videotaped and videos are kept behind the Circulation desk in the library. Students view the tapes in the library and cannot borrow them. The tapes are recycled at the end of the semester.
Molokai, Lanai, and Hana Education Centers will not tape cable TV classes. Students need to subscribe to cable television and own a VCR with timer.
