– Make contact, establish relationships, and initiate a professional network with peers and established faculty;
– Become knowledgeable about UH Maui College;
– Develop a sense of belonging to the UH Maui College community;
– Prepare for fall courses by:

– Emphasizing the transition in the focus of the instruction and assessment from teaching to learning (i.e. student centered learning);
– Focusing upon the use of technologies in instruction;
– Planning for the first day of instruction
