Objectives for New Faculty Institute:

• Make contact, establish relationships, and initiate a professional network with peers and established faculty;
• Become knowledgeable about UH Maui College;
• Develop a sense of belonging to the UH Maui College community;
• Prepare for Fall courses by:
  • Emphasizing the transition in the focus of instruction and assessment from teaching to learning (i.e. student centered learning);
  • Focusing upon the use of technologies in instruction, and;
  • Planning for the first day of instruction
