Week 2

Our very deserving winners in Week 2 are Beverly Agdeppa & Barbara Ornellas!

Beverly Agdeppa & Barbara Ornellas, Personnel

Casual Hire forms ever 89-days can be tedious and arduous with reminders and helping staff to hire workers seamlessly with deadlines and a timeline to accomplish these needs. Especially during the summer, hiring new hires by August and yet balancing the entire campus needs can be challenging. Bev is patient, inclusive, and tries her best to accommodate timelines and everyone’s needs to help our programs succeed.

Likewise, Barbara helped me with hiring an APT on a grant and ensuring the job description meets the Band requirements, interview questions, etc. is a process. Barb explains well and sends emails reminders to get things moving. Often we get email inundated and could miss an email or two, not intentionally but it does happen. Barb is understanding and picks up where we last left off. She also shares a lot of the retirement seminars for all of us to learn from which is truly a benefit as we all prepare for our own personal adventures. I like working with our Personnel Team, they are Kind and is there to help our UHMC programs succeed 🙂 mahalo!

Though there were definite challenges and some frustration, her support and accomplishment. I was able to find the 20 headphones and 10 headphone splitters at Office Max for pick up. I called Malia, apologizing for bothering her on her day off, and asked if she could order them for us and I could pick them up on Sunday or late Monday.
