NSA GenCyber Hawaii Consortium
University of Hawaii Maui College received a $412,794 grant from the NSA GenCyber Program to lead a consortium of colleges in conducting teacher and student cyber camps in 2025. The consortium includes the University of Hawaii Manoa, the University of Hawaii Information Technology Services (ITS), Kapiolani Community College, and Leeward Community College. The award entails hosting a virtual intermediate teacher camp for Hawaii DoE teachers in the summer of 2025 and in-person student camps in Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Maui, and Hawaii County.
Student Camps in Hawaii – 2025!
The GenCyber Hawaii team invites you to the 2025 GenCyber Hawaii Virtual Pre-Camps! Participants will meet online via Zoom from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Start your cybersecurity journey and learn the basics of protecting your information—no cybersecurity experience or knowledge is required!

Participants who take part in the pre-camp activities above will have priority registration for the 2025 Summer GenCyber camps, which will take place in-person as follows:
- Kauai: June 9 – 13, 2025, at Kauai High School
- Oahu: June 9 – 13, 2025, at Campbell High School
- Maui: June 16 – 20, 2025, at UH Maui College
- Molokai: June 16 – 20, 2025, at Kaunakakai Elementary School
- Oahu: June 16 – 20, 2025, at Leilehua High School

Online Intermediate Teacher Camp in Hawaii – 2025!
UHMC will host a GenCyber Intermediate Virtual Camp for HI DoE Teachers in 2024! This camp is restricted to public high school teachers in Hawaii and will be taught entirely online over Zoom!
