Summer Camps 2027

NSA GenCyber Hawaii and NSF ATE Program

University of Hawaii Maui College received a $89,537 grant from the National Security Agency (NSA) GenCyber program to host three cybersecurity camps in the summer of 2027. Two in-person student camps will be held on Oahu, and one virtual camp will target the entire state of Hawaii.

In addition, the University of Hawaii Maui College has recently been awarded a DCL supplement to its existing National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technology Education (ATE) grant (#2300867, $777,359.00). The DCL Supplement award enables the delivery of AI Camps for middle and high school students in Hawaii during the summers of 2027 and 2028.

UHMC will host student camps for AI and GenCyber in the summer of 2027.

Summer 2027: 

  • AI Camp 1 – 0830 – 1530, June 7-19, 2027 (HIDOE OCID Annex in Kaimuki, Oahu)
  • AI Camp 2 – 0830 – 1530, June 14-17, 2027 (HIDOE OCID Annex in Kaimuki, Oahu)
  • GenCyber Camp 1 – 0830 – 1530, June 21-25, 2027 (Kapiolani CC, Oahu)
  • GenCyber Camp 2 – 0830 – 1530, June 28-July 2, 2027 (Kapiolani CC, Oahu)
  • Online GenCyber Camp 3 – July 6 – July 9 (Online over Zoom)
