Q: WHEN AND HOW DO I RECEIVE MY FINANCIAL AID AWARDS?

A: As long as all requirements have been completed, UH Maui College will receive funds at the disbursement date described below. Be aware that this is the date UHMC receives the funds and not the day the student will receive funds. Read further for how refunds work.

1) Most grants and loans will come to UHMC 10 days prior to the first day of classes.

2) First time, freshman loan borrower funds will not come until 30 days after the first day of classes.

3) For students attending only one semester (Fall only or Spring only), your loans come in two disbursements. Your second dsibursement will not be released until the mid-point of the semester.

After any tuition/fees have been paid any remaining monies are refunded to the student. There are two ways to receive refunds:

1) The default method is receiving a check in the mail. This can take 7-10 business days from after UHMC receives monies. The check is mailed to your most current address on your UH portal. Please make sure your address is always up to date.
