- The start of the Fall 2023 semester is delayed, one week, due to the Maui wildfires. The new start date is Monday, Aug 28, 2023.
- This delay is for UHMC courses only. Other UH campuses start on Aug 21, 2023
- Student registration is open through STAR until Friday, August 25, 2023.
- The following semester deadlines have been adjusted, for more detail, please click here.
- Last Day to Drop with 100% refund: Sep 5, 2023
- Last Day to Drop w/o a W/Drop with 50% refund: Sep 19, 2023
- Last Day to Withdraw w/W Grade: Oct 30, 2023
FAQs
- How much class time needs to be made up?
- For a standard three credit lecture course, 3 contact hours need to be made up over the course of the semester.
- How will instructional time be made up?
- Each instructor can decide how time is made up for each course. The strategies are to: 1) Add a few additional minutes to each class session. 2) Assign asynchronous work. 3) Assign individual extra curricular activities such as field trips.
- Can the final exam period be used to replace instructional time?
- No.
- Can exam or assignment deadlines be extended past the end of the semester?
- No.
- Is there extra support available for students impacted by the wildfires?
