Financial Aid
ANNOUNCEMENTS: WINTER BREAK CLOSURE
- Due to the 2009-2011 union contracts, the MCC Financial Aid Office will shut down services during winter break (December 19 to January 4). This may cause a delay in processing financial aid for Spring 2010. Please do not email us during the closure nor for the first two weeks after reopening. If you email us before January 19, 2010 please be aware that we will not be able to respond.
- For SAP Students: If you are on academic probation or on financial aid appeal, it’s necessary that we review your Fall 2009 grades before releasing your funds for Spring 2010. The delay in posting of your grades, in addition to the time it will take us to review your grades, may cause a slight delay. If eligible, you may begin receiving your spring funds during the first week and second week of school.
- SAP cont’d: Please keep in mind that if you do not make satisfactory progress in Fall 2009, you will not be eligible for federal financial aid in spring. (You may still be eligible for your external scholarships. If you have an external scholarship, please check with the appropriate office). If you decide not to attend in spring, and you are enrolled, you must withdraw from your classes to avoid being charged tuition. If you have any questions, please contact us at 984-3277.
- Low Enrollment: If you are not registered by December 14th, you may begin receiving your financial aid (namely loans) during the second or third week of school.

What is Financial Aid?
