  • Correct Major in STAR? If not,
    1. Call Financial Aid (x277) to verify changing is OK
    2. Call Admissions & Records (x267) to change the major
    3. Students fill out Change of Major Form and submit it to Admissions & Records (Admissions & Records to follow up w students)

Review Getting Started Guide with students

  1. Intake Form - This is a form (printed on yellow paper) all students will receive in high schools. Please write your name under "UHMC Peer Name" on the form
  2. UH Username and Password - All students should already have UH ID and created UH username and password. If students do not remember, please have students see the Registrar Flora Mora or other A&R staff
  3. STAR - Please help students complete the Emergency Contact info STAR
  4. Health Clearance - Students been granted provisional permission to allow registration. Students must submit the Heath Clearance Form by 8/1/19.
  5. FAFSA / Financial Aid (808-984-3277) - Students can go to maui.hawaii.edu/financial to apply for financial aid. Kahea (Director of Financial Aid) will be present on 5/6 MHS, 5/8 KamHS, and 5/10 KKHS.
  6. Take the RIASEC Career Quiz - The RIASEC Career Quiz is in the EOC folder
  7. Take the “My Intro” New Student Intake - Please assist students Log into MySuccess. The survey will take 5 minutes to complete. Here’s a “How-to” video to complete the survey.
  8. Tuition and Fees for the semester
    • Textbooks - After registration, please help review the required books in STAR GPS or visit the Bookstore website

  9. UHMC New Student Welcome Event (Wed., Aug 21) | Sign-up available on UHMC FYE Website. Choose Between:
      • AM session: 9 AM to 2 PM (check in starts at 8 AM)
      • PM session: 3:30 to 8 PM (check in starts at 3 PM)
  10. UHMC ID Card - Please help inform registered students that they're able to get their UHMC ID Card. Information is at: Get Your UHMC ID Card website
  11. Smart phones - Please assist students to sync Google@UH and UH Alert
