Tips for Success:

  • Order your books before class starts
  • Check that your financial aid is in order.  Make sure you have no holds on your account before you register for classes.
  • Show up to class.  If you are going to miss your first class, be sure to email your instructor or you will be dropped from the class. Your faculty want to know you and hear from you.  Prepare to contribute to the conversation.  Read ahead and ask questions.
  • Do your homework.  Finish your assignments and turn them in on time.  Find your focus.  Reduce distractions.  Find a good place to study (might we suggest the LRC - Learning Resource Center).
  • Ask Questions.  If you are unsure of how to do something…Ask for help.  The LRC is a great place to start.
  • Enjoy the experience…Get involved - focus on learning more than on the grade.  Take small steps and treat yourself for your accomplishments.
  • Success in college is all up to you.  It’s within your reach - You got this!!!

Remember we are all here to help you.  If you need any assistance please stop by the LRC and visit with us.
