Prerequisites

ICS 101 or BUSN 150 ; preferred familiarity with databases. Or consent from instructor.

Requirements

The GIS in Ecosystem Management Certificate of Competence  requires only two courses for completion.  Completion of GIS 150 is required for GIS 180.

Before signing up for these courses you must be enrolled at UH Maui College.  Contact the Department Chair Sean Calder to determine if you are an eligible candidate (scalder@hawaii.edu).  If necessary he may also grant you a waiver for the pre-requisites.

Personal assistance for the application process is available to low-income, first-generation-to-college individuals, and veterans, who are not currently enrolled in college and who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.
